Congress 2010

2010 the 3rd "International Congress on Stem Cells and Tissue Formation" will take place in Dresden, Germany. From July 11th to 14th 2010 scientists from all over the world will meet in the Internationl Congress Center Dresden to present and discuss their recent, state-of-the-art results of stem cell research. Congress 2008

The "2nd International Congress on Stem Cells and Tissue Formation" in Dresden offered from July 6-9, 2008 a platform for over 700 stem cell researchers all over the world for exchanging latest results in the area of stem cell research. ­Researchers presented their work in over 70 talks and 300 posters. Focus of congress of 2008 were stem cells and the formation of tissues of multiple organs. This congress is organized every second year by the Dresden stem cell community in the CRTD and the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 655) "Cells into Tissues" (www.sfb655.de). The organizing committee of the congress in 2008 consisted of Prof. Michael Brand, director of the CRTD, Prof. Gerhard Ehninger, director of the SFB 655, Prof. Wieland Huttner, director of the Max-Planck-Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) and Prof. Gerd Kempermann, professor in the CRTD.  Further partners of the congress were the Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering (DIGS-BB) of the Technische Universität Dresden, the Klaus Tschira Foundation gGmbH and the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.
